Fumed Silica (White Carbon Black)
 

Feature:

Fumed silica (commonly known as fumed white carbon black) which is made through using chlorosilane with pyrohydrolysis in oxyhydrogen flame, is a kind of white amorphous inorganic fine chemical products without poison and taste. By adjusting technological conditions, fumed silica product can be produced, whose primary particle size is from 7nm to 40nm, and whose specific surface area is form 50m2/g to 400m2/g. Due to its small particle size, large specific surace area and strong surface activity, its widely used in rubber, coatings, adhesives, paints, inks, plastics, cosmetics, agriculture, medicine and other fields. It has so many functions, such as reinforcing, thickening, thixotropic, matting, uvioresistant, fungiciding and so on.

Application of Fumed Silica in Polymer Industry:

1.Rubber
It can helps rubber to increase intensity to 40 times at most and increase modulus of yield point to about 10 times. Elongation and croop property can both get improved outstandingly. Its reinforcement reaches carbon black completely, and it also avoids black pollution of carbon black.
2. Sealant and adhesive
It can be used as thickener and thixotropic agent, which increases the bonding strength and insures free mobility. It possesses the ability of anti-caking, sagging, loose collapse and depression during solidification, and keeps transparent.
3. Plastic
It can improve the density, finish and wear resistance of plastic products. Through proper surface modification, the plastic can be strengthened and toughened at the same time. By special method, high wear-resisting and high hardness polyethylene composites can be prepared.
4. Thixotropic polyester and gelcoat resin
The product thickness can be uniform and reduced, while reducing the flow and dripping of r resin, reducing the waste of resin, and protecting the production environment.
5. Atomic ash
It can be used as an anti-settling agent with good anti-settling effect and excellent thixotropy.
6.Step Paint
It can provide anti-caking, anti-current hanging, emulsification, extinction, suspension, thickening and thixotropy and other functions.
7. Optical Fiber
It can protect the surface of optical fiber from water erosion and improve the fatigue resistance and aging performance of optical fiber.
8. Other
It can be used as a tablet additive in the pharmaceutical industry, an effective ingredient carrier, a highly efficient pesticide carrier, a semiconductor wafer polishing agent, a powder substance anti-caking agent...
